Allyson Phillips

Children & Family Ministries Coordinator

Allyson graduated from Meredith College with a degree in Religion, but it took her
many years to find her way to a role in Children's Ministry. After 3 decades in the field of Sales and then retirement, Allyson felt led to become involved in the Children's program at Central Church. Coming out of the pandemic, the church needed to rebuild a place for children to come and learn, fellowship, and grow in their experiences with the Gospel.

After launching the Children’s Church program, an Easter Egg Hunt, and a Vacation Bible School, Allyson realized that she was in the role God had always intended for her to be. She joined our staff in 2022.

Children meet on Sunday mornings during our Worship services. They are currently enjoying the curriculum of the Hands-On-Bible. During the year we offer numerous activities including Energize, a program where we provide a variety of summer
activities to help your children grow in their faith and love of God. Nursery and Children’s Church are provided during both of our Worship Services.

Allyson Says:

The Lord knew I still had a few things I needed to complete in my life. Working with the families and children that come to Central Church is my second act.

As a long time member of Central Church, I had been blessed to serve in many areas. I have been a member of the Praise Team for over a decade. I am a member of the Good Samaritan Connexion Group where I have been a teacher as well as a teacher for our Children’s Sunday School Program. Being able to come alongside a group of precious children and watch them grow in their knowledge of their Lord and Savior has been one of the greatest Blessings in my Life.
